Frequently Asked Questions
How can I tell if my emerald is real?
Every Johya emerald comes with a gemological certificate from a recognized laboratory attesting to its natural origin in Colombia.
What certificates are provided with the stone?
Depending on the stone: GIA, CDTEC Bogotá, or Gübelin Lab. The certificate lists the weight, dimensions, any treatments, and origin.
Is an oiled emerald of lower quality?
No. About 90% of the emeralds on the market are lightly oiled to improve their clarity. This is a standard and recognized practice, which is noted on the certificate.
What are the delivery times?
Guaranteed delivery within 2 to 4 business days in France and the European Union, and 5 to 8 days for the rest of the world. Tracking provided by a secure carrier.
Can I return my stone?
Yes. You have 14 days to return the stone to us in its original condition. Full refund, excluding return shipping costs.
Why buy a Johya emerald?
Direct sourcing from Colombia, with no middlemen, and full traceability for every stone. You pay for the stone, not the chain.
