Raw stone
This crystal was purchased in person at the market in Muzo, in Boyacá. At this stage, nothing is certain: the light hints at its color and clarity, but only the cut will reveal the stone’s true potential. We selected it for the intensity of its green and the purity of its material—a rarity in a stone of this size.

Size
The crystal is sent to Bogotá, where it is entrusted to Christian, our gem cutter. He opts for a stepped cut with beveled edges: this cut best preserves the rough stone’s volume and allows light to flow through without dulling the color. Some material is always lost at this stage—that’s the price of a well-proportioned stone.

Cut stone
4.89 carats fresh from the workshop, featuring an intense green color with a vivid luster. The stone is reweighed, photographed without retouching, and then prepared for shipment to France. Its minor oil treatment is noted on both its data sheet and its certificate.
Virtually all natural emeralds have been oiled, an ancient and well-established practice that enhances the stone’s clarity. The exact degree of oiling (no oil, minor, moderate) is indicated on the certificate and directly affects the price.
Does the color accurately reflect reality?
Our photos and video show the actual stone, without any retouching. The video allows you to assess the stone's color, brilliance, and vibrancy from every angle, just as if you were holding it in your hand.
How do shipping and insurance work?
Each stone is shipped via DHL Express, insured, and delivered with a signature required, and is accompanied by its certificate.
